MBLAQ says goodbye on Music Core

Having been doing follow-up promotions for close to a month, the MBLAQ boys are now saying goodbye on today’s Music Core.

Their follow-up track, “Again“, is a mashup between electronica, hip hop, and R&B, which features a strong, synthetic melody with a fast and impressive beat, allowing the members to break away from their past sensual images from their “Cry” and “Stay” performances to showcase their stronger and more masculine sides.

Granted that promotions have been far from ideal as members, Mir and Lee Joon, were absent from some performances to illness, it was still refreshing to see the remaining members go all out to make up for it. 

Kpop Idols' video message to Japan

On a special SBS broadcast titled, “Keep Your Energies High, Japan!“, many of Korea’s top idols gave their words of support to their Japanese fans who are ravaged by the earthquake.

YG Entertainment to donate $500,000 USD to aid in Japanese relief effort

On March 15th, YG Entertainment announced that they’ll be donating $500,000 USD to the relief efforts in Japan.

The agency had set up a charity campaign four years ago, through which they help various charitable organizations by donating a portion of their total album sales. This year, YG Entertainment has decided to donate $500,000 USD in emergency relief funds.

A representative of YG Entertainment spoke with OSEN and revealed, “We are still discussing which organization to donate to.   Funds for the campaign donations were taken from album sales, and a lot of Japanese fans have taken part in the campaign throughout the years. This donation will be made to give back that support the Japanese fans have shown us.”

They continued, “Campaign donations were always made at the year-end, but due to the sudden disaster in Japan, we’ve decided to go ahead and run the campaign earlier this year to aid in the relief efforts.  We’re all extremely upset with the natural disasters affecting the nation.”

Other stars who have publicly donated relief funds include Bae Yong Joon, Ryu Shi Won, Choi Ji Woo, Kim Hyun Joong, Jang Geun Suk, Lee Byung Hun, Song Seung Hun and KARA.

Lee Joon reveals his reason for breaking up with his girlfriend

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon had an incident where he had to break up with his girlfriend because of a certain male celebrity.

During the filming of “Strong Heart”, Lee Joon revealed, “I had to break up with my girlfriend because of a male celebrity. …My girlfriend was looking through my cell phone and saw the name of that male celebrity. She said that she thinks she knows that person, but we dismissed that thought by assuming it’s just another person with the same name. However, we later found out that the person in my phone was the same person my girlfriend was thinking of.”

Because of that reason, Lee Joon had to break up with that girlfriend. What was even more shocking was when he later revealed, “That male celebrity is right here with us today.”

Poor Joon,it must've been hard....
